Rouge Frais Impérial Sciacarello

Delicious Corsican red. Especially for the price point.

Great summer red, though this seemed more elegant than required tonight after some bigger wines. Lightweight red summer wines like Beaujolais, Frappato and Corsican reds like this are way under served...#toomuchrose?

This was the perfect light red. Breezy, earthy, fruity and nice acidity.

Perfect springtime lunch wine. Tastes of strawberries sprinkled with freshly-turned earth.

Really fun, a late night High Life for the quirky hip somm. Cedar pepper and herbs on training wheels.

Interesting wine from Corsica. Local version of the sangiovese grape apparently. Aged in steel / concrete, this is a robustly flavored but lighter bodied wine. Long finish with good but gentle acid. Surprisingly good pairing with sea bream.

Opened up nicely, very enjoyable! Got better with food.
