Upon opening, pretty flabby and tired. Give it an hour or so, and it really starts to open up and show it’s complexity. Though only 30% nielluccio, aromas here are certainly in the Sangiovese family. Cherry, iron, dusty earth, herbs. It still has great concentration and length. Fruit is lively and bright. Enjoyed with Cubano sandwiches on homemade sourdough.

It's alive... like sucking fruit off a tree. Heads up that it had a slight sour cherry salmon aftertaste at the opening, but that disappeared with air and food.

I know the rating is high but this wine put a serious smile on my face. So much fruit (like old school fruit roll up) so much energy and so very unique. Abatucci is all bio dynamic. Every piece of the land in Corsica shows itself here. Such a pleasing wine

Light body and bright with red berries nose, slightly tangy with some savory herbaceous note. Hint of smokiness. Goes down so easily.

Drank w/ Charlie Master of Master Wines. Made from grapes I won't remember. Very elegant and feminine package with Pinot-esque lithe, orange rind, leather. Very enjoyable

A Kermit Lynch import, Faustine is a biodynamically-farmed Corsian blend of 70% Sciaccarellu and 30% Niellucciu. Shimmering translucent garnet, it's lighter in hue and body than Pinot Noir with refined, perfumy aromas of decaying rose petal, white hand soap, forest floor, dried mint, and a hint of spice. In the mouth, it's taught, red-fruited and lean. The tannins are moderate and very fine, intertwining coursing acidity, flavors of cranberry and rose hips, and a decidedly herbal flourish on the finish. 14.0% ABV

Wow! Such a cool wine. Ruby in color, remarkably complex nose of dried roses, pepper, cranberries, an edge of balsamic, and herbs. The palate follows nose, except that it's not over ripe like the balsamic notes would suggest. The wine displays bright red raspberry and cranberry fruit, mouth quenching acidity, and fine textured tannins.

This is not the Vermentino but the "Cuvée Faustian." Requested the correction. On the nose, warm mid and dark red fruit, nice spice, pepper, herbs, black cherry licorice, dark soils, light minerals and dark fresh florals. Bright dark cherries, cherries, baked strawberries, dry cranberries, touch of lean blackberries, herbs, light spice & peppers, texture is lean, fruits are ripe & bright, fresh high acid with lean, fresh, ripe fruit finish. Very easy to drink young and a versatile pairing wine. 70% Sciacarello & 30% Nielluccio. Photos from the vineyard in Corsica.

After a short decant came the complex nose and soft tannins.
