The view from Blanchots Dessus in Chassagne-Montrachet... from the left Le Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, and Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet... Mecca for Chardonnay. I think time stopped and choirs of angels sang for just a moment after my first sip... this is glorious... White peach meets lemon meringue and it’s beautiful. And in the second act, fresh apple meets spiced butterscotch. Ethereal but dense. Intense but elegant. Probably the best white I’ve had in years.
