My impressions are very similar to my April 2025 bottle of this @Dave wine, mostly old vine Syrah from Pierre Clavel’s “La Mejanelle” vineyard, with small dollops of Mourvèdre and Grenache, low levels of Brett show (so, if you’re very sensitive to Brett, YMMV), solid finish, very good Languedoc!!

[Mostly old vine Syrah, with small dollops of Mourvèdre and Grenache, 12-14 months in barrel, not sure if new or used]
Pristine quality cork, garrigue, low-level Brett, smoky, well-balanced, still very crisp and youthful, longish finish, punches well above its weight!!

[100% Syrah, 13.0% ABV, 12 months in oak] Purchased on release, this shows intense garrigue (lavender, sage, rosemary, etc.) aromas, redfruits, nicely framed by the oak, this lovely 30-year-old Languedoc has held up very well, medium-long, lingering finish, a “sleeper” that still delivers the goods!!

[Syrah, with a little Mourvèdre and Grenache] Restrained, but still evident, oak still shows up front, lavender, garrigue, wild flowers, while mature, drinking very well, medium-long finish, quite good still!!

Fascinating old Syrah from the Languedoc (label says 100% Syrah, 13.0 ABV), purchased on release, meaty, smoky, clean, balanced, this has held up amazingly well, medium-long finish, a Jeffrey Davies import from his early days of bringing in Languedoc wines (a most excellent portfolio back in the 1990s)!!
