This is low key one of the most incredible wines from Chavy-Chouet. Classic Pommard nose. Stones, underbrush and refined yet brambly red fruits. A lot more is buried under there. Spice and smoke and clearly defined minerals after some air. Really a wow nose. Incredible purity and balance with sour cherry and sweet cherry fruit of the mid season kind. Very pure. Delicious. Great freshness and balance as well. Elegant and pure. Long. Gorgeous tannins. Substantial yet pure. Such energy and precision. Elegant and powerful. The most “Barolo” of all the Burgundy villages. Great stuff .
