Finally made it to @domainecarneros after a 13 mile, stunningly beautiful bike ride (check out my story on Instagram @amateur_oenophile for footage). 🚴 🚴

It was worth the effort - we’re in for a treat. 🙌 The grounds and château are beautiful. It’s no wonder it’s such a popular tasting location. 👍👍

Here we have a flight of:

-the Single Vineyard Sparkling, crisp, lean, with bright acidity and mineral notes,

-the Blanc de Blancs comprised of 83% Chardonnay and 17% Pinot Gris, offering more ripe tropical and citrus fruit notes along with pie crust,

-the Late Disgorged Rosé, which is rich and creamy and offers raspberry, strawberry, toasted almond, brioche notes, and

-Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs, the tête de cuvée made from 100% Chardonnay offering additional floral and honeycomb notes. The tête de cuvée was aged 8 years in the barrel prior to the second, bottle fermentation.
