Top Notes For
I really wish I could give a higher rating; I wanted to love this! At this tasting at least, it lacks the acid expected for the structure and longevity of a sur lie. That said, the aromas of light anise, peach, apricot, with undertones of buttercream and brioche were subtle and most elegant. In that respect it was indicative of its type and it did have a lovely character. A shame it was a bit flabby! Drink now! (I made the most of it with Brebirousse d'Argental and Raclette cheeses.)
