Domaine Bizot
Les Jachées Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir
The 2016 Vosne-Romanée Les Jachées has a really quite gorgeous bouquet with wonderful definition: pure, quite mineral-rich red fruit probably more in line with a Premier Cru. The palate is very well balanced with a silky smooth texture and a shimmering, vivacious finish that might lack depth and grip, but has a disarming effortless nature about it. Superb for a mere Village Cru. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2018)

I'm starting to understand why Bizot costs so much. This hits all the right notes.

Aug 30th, 20162021/11/21 with wood grilled ichibo steak. Cellared at home since release. There’s some nice brown spice and rounded, burnished fruit here, reminiscent of many 2006s - a bit low in acidity and with a looser shape, but ample. But the oak is still rather more prominent than I like, and at this point, it seems questionable whether it will ever integrate. It will be interesting to see what happens with the remaining bottle of this, as well as the vielles binges

Nov 23rd, 2021Lovely aromatics of incense, cherry fruit, and minute Vosne spices. Not showy like the other bottles after it, but a wine that makes you ponder and appreciate. Bizot is class and sadly there's just not enough to go around.
