The 2019 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru is well-defined on the nose, offering crushed stone and subtle earthy scents; a faint touch of white flowers emerges with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and linear. A reserved, lightly spiced Chablis with a brisk, quite saline finish. It just needs a little more in the way of persistence.
