Household favorite. Citrusy nose with some pear and white flower notes. The palate shows a nice acid backbone, those pear and citrusy notes, a good width, a vivid mouthfeel, a long pear and citrus finish with a tiny bitter note. This is not great but it's very good for the €€€. We paired it with a nice raclette and it worked well!

Still super good for the price, still an easy going, under the radar chardonnay. Still a lot of pleasure.
Those flowery and citrusy notes on the nose, this very wide palate with a superb lemon peel touch, and tha long fresh finish. This is always cool!

Previous notes still apply. Very nice aromatic nose with little flowers, nice acid drive and some width and a sweeter, fruitier spot with a nice exotic fruit note. Finish with that fruity note. Enjoyed along with a raclette hence opening the season ✌🏻

Domaine Bertrand, Beaujolais blanc 2020.

This bottle was bought 8 days ago in the winery in Charentay, where we enjoyed an outstanding tasting with Maryse and Jean Pierre Bertrand who told us everything about their different crus and cuvées and how they are transitioning to an organic product (the white is certified organic already, their other red crus will be in 2022 and 2023). I strongly recommend paying them a visit when in the area, they are great hosts and they make good solid wines.
This one is no exception and I would have placed it 30km north blind around Mâcon. Superb and delicate nose with white flowers, lemon and a tiny touch of yellow fruits (that reminded me of Mâcon), super strong acid backbone with a power drive, nice lemony touches all along, a good mid palate with width that powers up a long fruity, zesty finish. This is very good stuff!
