Juicy red fruits on the nose, a bit peppery and animal. Savory, ripe red fruits with cherries, well-balanced and long finish. Very flavorful that keeps you wanting more. Good tanins and acidity.

This was fine but not as good as hyped. Yes, it’s too young and there is that vosne perfume and spice on the nose but pretty lightweight and did not give much.

Soft finish with a small amount of spice. Dark fruit. Took a while to open up.

Seemingly less oak helps make this approachable now, though did open open nicely with a decent over 90min

From this weekend... disappointing especially from this appellation and from Berthaut-Gerbet. Nice floral notes, high acid but missing the elegance and complexity I yearn for in a nice Burgundy. Will stick to her wines from Fixin.

I really like Amelie's wines. She's been doing everything right since taking the reins and the wines are getting better and better with every vintage. This bottle, however, was not of standard I would say. Perhaps an off-bottle.

Right out of the bottle, VA was a touch high for my liking. Hints of baked fruit might indicate improper storage (although, unlikely with this merchant). Acid, while sufficient, was disjointed. Good fruit once the baked elements passed, centred around the red spectrum. Floral tones, forest floor, hint of spice, but kinda lacking in minerality. Not the best Berthaut I've had. Chicken was excellent 9.1/10

At this point... the alcohol is kicking in. Someone mentioned blue currant, wet soil. Flashy and attractive nose with lots of blue/red fruits.

Yummy Pinot, enjoyed it a lot but felt it was more California style than Burgundian and I was after burgundy tonight. Fruit forward, spicy, hint of tannin.
