Day 1: textbook Volnay, violets and raspberries. Day 2: seemed more shutdown, very tight on the finish. Give it a couple more years.

Strawberry on the nose and an uncommon warmth. Weird. The palate has this warmth too as if it was oxidised. It gives the impression of drinking a pineau des Charentes or any mutated wine. Not clearly what I expect from a pinot from the côtes de Beaune! Not really interesting
