Cuvée Les Equinces Bourgogne White Blend

Last bottle the best. Plenty of savory bits like a predominant & pleasant pear skin; also marzipan, quince, & green apple. Beautiful mouthfeel, very expansive, with just enough acidity begging for the next sip. Just a very pretty & food versatile Burgundy that powers way above its Bourgogne label.

This is so fucking great. Nose is lanolin and white flowers. Herbal as well and so clean. Just stunning. Focused minerality as well. What a rich and silken texture that just floats in the mouth. Unreal concentration, density and complexity. Wow. This is by far the best Equinces ever. So complete and so compact. Just brilliant. Unreal density yet so nimble. This is genius! So elegant and textured with air. The controlled richness is so powerful in 21’s lean architectural style.

Lovely nose of lemon pepper, mild oak, superb expressive minerals and salt. Herbs as well. So clean and elegant. Refined. Chewy and dense but also refined with an elegant sweetness that is more wood and sweet ripe apples but finishes with a bit of opulence and some terrific cleansing acidity. So well made you are blown away that is is Bourgogne. Wonderful loose texture and just perfect balance. Opulence works in this wine’s favor. Such a long finish. Clean and elite winemaking.

Stunning young Equinces. Nose is quite with deep green apple and lovely minerality. But a bit quiet. But the palate is full steam ahead. Rich and just with loads of energy, juiciness and endless depth. This is so complex, dense and structured as well. Amazingly long finish. This is by far the best young Equinces I’ve ever had. Lush yet energetic and incredibly long.

Oh yeah. This wine is a Daddy wine. Insanely aromatic. Cake icing, green apple, huge minerals, alluring spice, iodine, hazelnut, so refined and complex. Wow, what a palate. The purest and most balanced Equinces ever. Just a stunning wine. Tastes like elite 1er Cru. Just insane. Awesome acids and freshness and also has fantastic roundness which is a sign of an elite white wine. See Keller and Brisset. As nose opens up it becomes perfumed and spicey like a spice bazaar. Palate is so deep. My goodness it is crazy. It is so clean, so fresh and so ethereal. It floats on the palate and pumps juicy, refined apple fruit on the mid and the finish. Wow. So deep. Totally genius and so so refined. Sickness. What structure and grip. Just genius. Best Equinces ever.

Wine so good I bled on the label. Leesy stunning nose with terrific material and tons of baked apple and ripe pears. Gorgeous minerality. Lanolin. Deep and improved greatly since last time. Palate is full of terrific pure apple and pear fruit and wonderful texture and dazzling freshness. Incredible texture. So juicy and explosive with such wonderful depth and so crisp. So clean and pure. Balance is so good. One of the best BB’s in the world.

Gorgeous wine. Gained even more weight in a year since last having it. Complex nose of butter, mineral, grilled apples, iodine and so much depth and breadth. Palate has such wonderful finesse and freshness from the intense minerality. Juicy. Complex and compact. Drinking great now and shows the classic profile of a great 15.

What a showing. Most refined vintage yet. So complex as well. Nose of green apple, spice, earth and very very mineral. Palate is just dynamic with power, depth, concentration and exquisite depth. A piercing like puligny iodine like quality. Very long, terrific structure. Needs 3-4 years I think. But an electric Equinces!

Gorgeous wine and of the best BB’s out there. Minerals, apple strudel, spice, touch of wood so well integrated. Palate is balanced and dazzlingly pure and fresh with superb balance and freshness and wonderful purity. Mineral as all can be on the finish.

What first hits is the texture— substantial & chewy; but the nose too comes at you & is full of quince, white flowers, cooked leek. The nose gets echoed on the palate, which is deep & long, with more savory notes of baked apple, & yellow fruit skins. Really a marvel, & I regret I didn’t have more than my leftover measly bottle. Truly marvelous & nothing Bourgogne about it, Fer sure.
