Very light. Deep dark dress, surprising for a gamay. The carbonic maceration and its sour cherry notes are mixed well with an oak barrel aging, bringing a certain hold to the whole .. in the 2015 the acidity begins to wear off seriously. Drink now.
Très léger. Robe sombre et dense. La macération carbonique et ses notes griottes sont bien mêlées à un élevage en fût-de-chêne, apportant une certaine tenue à l’ensemble.. sur le 2015 l’acidité commence à s’estomper sérieusement. A boire maintenant.

Cherry juice and hay on the first night, licorice and plum on the second. The palate is well balanced with this cherry juice and a solid acid backbone. Some grip, a nice tender mouthfeel and some persitence with cherry. Your daily dose of Beaujolais.

Nose of sour cherry and earth. Not particularly complex but a plain juicy ripe fruit. The palate is splendid with a radiant ripe sour cherry along a strong acid backbone for a perfect balance. Some grip in mid palate to give it some more interest and a finish with the same ripe fruit and a pinch of salt. Textbook lovable Beaujolais. It came after guigal's côte rôtie and looked it in the eyes without backing down. Wow!
