Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Tried another Sip. Basic wine, simple lacks complexity. Ruby with red fruit aromas and herb spice. Raspberry and cherry flavors adding sweet earthy tones to the mix. Fine tannins, ok balance, a tad savory. Medium length ending with earthy spice notes. Tasting Sample.

Pretty dark. (& pretty). Smells nice. Violet candies and plum compote. Flavors are ripe. Hints of fig and something with nutmeg and such in it. Maybe figgy puddings? Plenty of berries too. It’s not austere and complex with that sage and cypress woodsy zing that some Rhône has. But it’s great tasting red for a good price. Hits the right notes and hits the spot.

I love this! I was only going to have ONE glass, but you can probably guess how this story ends...

A real delight and quintessential Cote du Rhône. Perhaps the best bargain I’ve ever found. Get your GSM on with this beauty.

Very dark and extracted for a CDR Village. 14.5% ABV, consisting of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Carignan, and 10% Mouvèdre - mushroom, charred meat, black plum skin, nutmeg, and lavender on the nose . The pallet is rich and textured, exhibiting notes of blue and red fruit, mocha, dried herbs, bell pepper, crushed gravel, and vanilla in a baked fruit finish. Great value, and it takes about an hour to really open up. Pair with gamey meats, Italian meat and pasta dishes, or cured meats.

Very subtle wood and dark fruit smell, maybe plum? Smooth, not tannic, easily drinkable, but not much complexity. Sort of... falls flat? Good for a Friday night eating almonds and folding laundr (which I am doing).

Citrus/orange and strawberry on the nose, nice purply color, medium body, taste has notes.of concord grape, grape stem, almost a light carbonation feel. Back end is not particularly pleasant, but I wouldn't say harsh either.

2017 vintage. Pretty good. Fruity light with a touch of spice. Light body. Finish is fair. Would drink again on a casual basis but surely there are way better wines from this region
