Flash tasting; no formal notes. The 2019 “Clos des Chênes” is a light ruby; elegant and lithe with modest structure. Balanced but too youthful at this stage. Better after 2029.

Feb 8th, 2018Moderate ruby color. Red cherry, crushed red berries, and hints of forrest floor are evident on the nose without much influence from new oak. Palate features surprisingly dense although fine grained tannins with good acidity and length. Definitely has the muscle to go the distance but pleasant drinking now as well.
