Last bottle of the trip, taken to Napua at the Mauna Lani. Canary gold color, bright and cheery in the glass. Notes of citrus and kiwi, tropical fruit, wet stones, tan spice, vanilla and white acacia flowers. Rich and glycerol in the mouth, matched with serious acidity. Paired perfectly with a nice Onaga fresh catch, which turned out to be the best prepared fish dish of the trip. Young but drinking well. Aloha!

Jan 7th, 2023Straw gold color, bright in the glass. Very Coche-y with a match stick nose and notes of citrus, apricot, petrol, wet stone and tan spice. Great fruit and sneaky acidity in the mouth. Some vanilla creme and tropical fruit comes on with air. Not bad for the hot 06 vintage, I wonder if the 92 white burgs tasted like this at age 16?

Nov 24th, 2022Light straw color. Coche Dury nose. Nose of lemon curd, wet stone, clove and freshly sliced not ripe nectarine. In the mouth a great balance of fruit and acidity. Shorter finish. Really good for the vintage. JF Coche makes this for Johan at D&S and it's a winner.
