Domaine Alain Voge
Les Vinsonnes St. Joseph Syrah
A bit too soon to open it, but beautiful blueberry, cracked white pepper, black raspberry, garrigue. A couple more years for the tannins to resolve a bit and it will be a very elegant wine. Still lovely now. A more classic vintage than 2012.

May 26th, 2018Really concentrated, grapey and modern. Not my thing. Not sure that age will help. I have a couple more bottles and will hold them for a few years and see what happens.

Feb 9th, 2015Thought it was Australian. Menthol, eucalyptus, soft red fruit, pepper though less than I expect from St. Joseph.. Thought it was a classic producer

May 27th, 2016Dark plum, blueberries, garrigue, menthol, eucalyptus, olive tapenade, teriyaki, blackberry compote, lavender liqueur. Bright rounded acid/smooth velvet tannin balance, medium bodied, silky texture, smoky/slightly peppery finish. Darker profile not normally associated with Saint-Joseph.
