Domaine Aimé. 100% Cabernet Franc - 2013. Red languedoc wine. Elegant & highly approachable. 12-14% alcohol percentage. Jammy berry fruits start to quietly emerge 30 minutes after pouring. Far more sophisticated than the $12 price tag suggests. Great grip & complexity with a fruit forward nose. Will drink again.

Chalky tannins, but they don't linger too long and soften with some air. Green pepper, unripe apple, succulent black cherry, and a bit of chocolate on the palate. I like the green pepper and black cherry, but it feels raw. I'd love to see how some age treated this.

Apr 4th, 2013Very dark in color, opaque and a nice set if legs. Strong tannic, with hints of oak and blackberry in the bouquet. Rich and full bodied in taste. Haven't had too many French cabs but this one is full of flavor with a chocolate and currant dominating with hints of black cherry. Pleasantly surprised with the taste.
