Pale ruby in color with a nose of potting soil, mushroom, and potpourri with a hint of cranberry. Light to medium body. Well balanced. Definitely earthy with cranberry notes on the long, pleasant finish. Bone dry.

Nice bright red fruit but what I enjoyed was the barnhouse earthiness on the nose and finish. Usually not my favorite but it added nice complexity here

Oct 24th, 2016Come back to the 2012 in two years. In the meantime, tart raspberry and wet earth. Med+ acidity and high tannins. Nice, but will be nicer in a few years!

Sep 7th, 2015Great medium/med+ acid, bright red fruits, and a smoky, borderline offensive cured meat essence on the nose. Wonderful mushroom / decaying forest floor undertones to go along with the tart cherry / raspberry.
