A fantastic bottle of Chablis-adjacent, just great a year since our last bottle. Please see prior notes on the vintage. (A touch more salty than before, but doing fine.)
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our guest conductor Karina Canellakis is leading WAGNER (Prelude to Lohengrin, Act 1), CHOPIN (Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Opus 21) with one of our local treasures, Emanuel (Manny!) Ax on piano and then RACHMANINOFF (Symphonic Dances, Opus 45). A fantastic night is ahead of us!

Super seashells on the nose. Flint. Oyster bed. Green apple skins. Very aromatic and lovely. Super pure. Juicy, rich and lean. Great clinging length. Another wine that needs to be BTG everywhere!

Chablis feels like spring to me. So vibrant and alive! This one is chalky and lemony and apple-y.

Apr 18th, 2021Terrific wine. Both of these Petit Chablis are brilliant for what they are. This nose is floral, more round, more focused, precise and less broad than the Fye. Gorgeous. Incisive and deep. Crunchy, ripe and deep with a stunning texture and palate presence. Pure, textured and deep. Can’t believe this is Petit Chablis. Rich yet fresh, energetic and terrific backend structure. So salty it screams for a dozen oysters. I love Chablis. Both of these wine are why. Small, humble but so awesome because they are Chablis.

Aug 1st, 2020Yellow apples, salt, sweet cream, chalk. Delicious! I put this in front of an ABC friend and she loved it. It’s a Chardonnay for all!

Palate has tart apple, warm lemon, light saline solution, green hay and moist sand/clay pottery.
Medium body, mineral drive is excellent and runs through the complete finish. I would suggest this vineyard site has a good mix of clay soils which appear to soften the palate slightly, quite enjoyable. Decanted 60m.
Paired with grilled steelhead trout, delicious.

Very nice petit chablis. Perfect acid, great body, apple, lemon peel, etc. really simply delicious.

N: Really crisp green apples, white flowers, lemon, perfume.
P: Grass, salt, mineral, esp on the front palate. Quite weightless. Crispy/Crunchy.
