Elegant and pretty, with and underpinning of pear and mineral fruit. #Macconais can be big and overtly fruity, this is opposite. It was served a little too cold, with some warmth the finish extended as well.

Pale pale not quite ripe plum- with whitish fruit. Oak? So very subtle it's hardly if at all registering. Tart apple. A hint of sun on it but only just. Now that it's warming up a bit- some butter is melting. Nothing shouting movie popcorn. Everything about this gem is quiet. Haiku not a sonnet. Bird song not an orchestra. Not for something bold. Creamy cheese. Crusty bread. Shellfish

Pear, stone, oak, more spring than autumn. A breezy spring day with a few dry leaves still blowing down the walkway. Buds on the branches. Glad I'm wearing a sweater. Here comes the sun. Another sip... take a deep clean breath. The grille comes out of the shed for that lovely white fleshed fish with lemon and olive oil. Crusty bread. Asparagus. Jazz or just the birds? Me humming?
