Vieilles Vignes Montagny 1er Cru Chardonnay

A really lovely bottle of wine - they had few bottles left at Vin Chicago. Headed black for more

Not as good as the last one but still a good white burgundy. Similar taste, hard to see how that one was so much better/so much more expensive

Think scene from 2001 where a chimpanzee is pounding bones on rocks. Replace bones with oyster shells. Rocks are definitely limestone. Just exquisite.

Delicious. Grilled peach on the first swirl followed by deep Meier lemon and lemon zest flavors. Reminds me of PC/GC Chablis. Good

Dipping my toes in the white Burg waters as the rain falls in Honolulu. Solid afternoon sipper, crisp ripe green apple, micro-hint of butterscotch, nice round mouth feel, pleasing acidity. I know it's an entry level Burg, however I can get used to this.

Rich & balanced

Still a bit young, but still excellent.

I dig this but feeling a little tart and disjointed.

Super lean. Concentrated honeyed fruit, big acid.
