Mar 21st, 2020Not as bright & forward as most D&Rs, was almost closed until decanting. Nice aromatics and an earthiness that says more time in the cellar is in order.

Jul 6th, 2017Exquisitely seductive and elegant Mourvèdre from Dick Graff's original vineyard plantings next to Chalone Vineyard. Lovely now but can go a decade.

Nov 30th, 2016Best D&R wine I've had, most have been riddled with flaws to the point of questionable (inattentive winemaking). And I like funky wines. This had nice bright fruit and real depth of flavor. This example makes me want to try more.

Aug 13th, 2016An aromatic floral nose on first pour with dark fruit on the palate with obvious structure from the stems. With a little air the limestones Antle is known for start to emerge. A very dry finish that then puts me in a happy place. Next bottle would be fun to pair with some food.
