Apr 3rd, 2020I love tempranillo. Flavors of cherry and strawberry sauce, and subtle wood. Highly tannic which I personally like. Medium-high acidity. For the price, this wine is a great value.

Feb 4th, 2018Not a sweet smell. Almost salty. Purple, somewhat translucent. Some tannin. High acidity, salty finish. Smokey. Finishes without acid, acid peaks while swallowing. Not much pepper/ spice.

Dec 23rd, 2017Drank 12/18/17. Pnp
Saw the 90 pt rating (think it was The Advocate) so thought id give it a whirl since the price was right.
Nose of Red cherry, plum, and a bit of earth. Not much oak on the nose despite the 12 months of aging. Palate of cassis, tar, pepper, and some wood. Finish is quite long, but with quite a bit of unresolved tannins. A decent wine, but not great.
3/20/7/2/4 + 50 = 86 pts
