Vintage 2014 | Merlot dominated, my wife - who loves Merlot - says it is a dinnerwine. Good bouquet with cherries, vanilla, laurel and pencil. A supple taste with rondeur. Distinguished. Very nice drinking, paired with venison ragout and cheeseboard with tomme de Savoie. Diamcorked.

2014 vintage. Whereas the grand vin Château Belgrave typically features a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, this second wine is dominated by Merlot (79%) with the remainder Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium-bodied, with good fruit concentration, freshness and balance with ripe tannins and a good smokey length. A pleasure to drink now, but should age well for a few years. Good value for 17,90 euros. Abv. 13%.

Vintage 2009 | No score, perhaps an off bottle, perhaps simply too old. I thought a bit corked, wet cardboard impression.

Темно-рубиновый цвет. Полуполнотелое. Нос неяркий сбалансированный дерево, вяленая ежевика. Вкус легкокислотный, немного фруктовый, немного землистый. Послевкусие недолгое.

Final meal in Paris. I had read about Anthony Bourdain liking this place because of its simplicity and perfectly cooked meat. (Apparently one of his favorites in Paris). Great meal to close our week in Paris, especially if you like fire grilled meat as much as we do.

The Diane de Belgrade was a textbook Bordeaux. I liked it even more after a bit of time in the glass. This wine is also a reminder that even simple bottles can be amazing. @Robert et Louise in Le Marais.
