It's pretty rare that I'm this pleasantly surprised. Pretty ruby color with a really expressive nose of big ripe fruit and old school leather. Let this baby breathe for about half an hour because these notes are outstanding. There's more Old World to this besides just the name. Earthiness, rose petals, bitter tea, and fruit punch. But not in a bad way. The oak tries to overstay its welcome but fails. Just a really pretty Pinot at a crazy low price.

Somewhat mixed opinions here. I enjoyed the more earthy cal-ital Pinot noir. #spindoctor was more reserved in his judgement.
