Not going to rate this as the bottle may have been a dud. It’s my only bottle of this vintage so nothing to compare to. On opening it had a funky aroma and taste on the palate. Not the obvious oxidation skunkimess but a hint of it. After several hours much of the funk blew off to reveal a dense fruity Barolo on the easy drinkability side. A day later it remained pretty much the same. I wish I had another bottle to compare to. I’ve enjoyed other wines from Demarie.
