A subdued but very Pessac-like nose has some toastiness, a teensy amount of grassiness, a little lanolin, fig, and a bit of steely minerality. Replace the steely minerals with some gravel and it would be a dead ringer. Very crisp and lean in the mouth. A little more ripeness and generosity would have helped, but this is still pretty good.

Dec 20th, 2021Color of light gold. Nose of roasted nuts, oak, ripe citrus, salty mineral, no strength of alcohol. Nose is nice. Taste is dried and follows the nose. Intense flavors of roasted nuts drizzled with ripe acidity from tropical fruits, baked apples, and saltiness. Aftertaste is also long with aforementioned flavors plus some cinnamon spice and hint of zest. Well balanced and beautiful.
