The '09 is all about big black cherry on the nose along with notes of anise, steak sauce and sous bois. Savory on the palate with fine tannins and light anise on the long finish. Very rich. Would like to revisit in 5-10 years. From Rutherford Ava

Still drinking great after 11 years. I do miss these wines (although Gerhard is producing some terrific wines under his new lable, Reisacher Estate).

I don't recall what vintage I had, previously, but I recall being more impressed. Don't get me wrong - this was good - just not great.
