Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine certainly impressed me this evening. Fourteen years old, still youthful on the nose and palate. Great fine grain tannin.

Wow! Talk about major extraction, but Incredibly well balanced. Not much of fan of this style, but it's fun to drink. Enjoying it with rare T-Bone.

A whole lot of raspberry flavor but not too much else. Ok

Dark chocolate, black berries and licorice.

Peppery. Sad to see them selling the winery and all their wine off.

Be patient......give it 2 good hours to open up. Initially it was very gritty and peppery.....2 hours in it started to blossom.

Another winner from Gerhard at Delectus, the 2005 is drinking really well. Probably just past peak, this still had loads of fruit as well as classic aromas typical of older CA cabs. Terrific wine from a totally underrated winery!
