Nose has the distinctive Virginia honeysuckle/honeycomb smell, with cherry and currants, and some smokiness. Some darker earthy flavors on the palate, dried cherries, smoky finish that lingers nicely.

Upon uncorking, this had a strong scent of berry on the nose and palete. A little bit too dull for my palete, reminds me of a Pinot Noir. After 15 minutes or so, getting more of a spicy, peppery flavor.
