Very surprised by this Portuguese red blend. For the $11 price tag, I expected something a bit harsh. Decanted and aerated for about half an hour. Aromatic red fruit and oak on the nose. Low acid, medium, round tannins. Slight sweetness from the notes of vanilla and tobacco. A little warmth from baking spices. Overall, jammy, plush, and quite tasty. Had with some sea salted milk chocolate for a treat. Very nice bargain wine.
