Wow. Just wow. 18 mos New French. Massive nose of orchard fruits, apple & pear. Viscous in the glass with an old gold tint to the eye. Round fruit and oak on the palate. This will be too big for some, but I feel like it is punches way above it’s weight ( price range ) for what it is. Outstanding and a steal for around $40 retail.

Chardonnay, Russian River Valley. Unctuous, sleek and full bodied all at the same time. Gotta love the deft acidity, fresh fruit and rich toasty oak.

2012 Sleeping Giant Chardonnay. Finely presented but a bit rich for my tongue.

Drank this wine while watching the new release of Somm III, so scores could be inflated here.

Lots of ripe tree fruits, green apple and apparent French oak. Very easy drinking, but bland aftertaste. Overall would put this in the everyday drinker category... nothing terribly unique or standout.
