Less about the fruit than the oak. Fruit is hidden behind too much oak which is too bad. Russian River fruit is usually expressive enough without the mask. Reminds me of everyone's love of hops with IPA.

V13. Heavy toast nose. Buttery Pineapple and melon fruit, creamy, vanilla finish. Nice wine

Good Chardonnay - rich and buttery, not too sweet, good balance of fruit and flower with light spice. Surprisingly light on the palate. Overall very nice. Maureen says, "mildly effervescent, very light and not too sweet- very drinkable!"
