A real intensity here even nine years after the vintage. A lot more intensity in this expression than in their single clone bottlings. We bought several bottles of this vintage a couple of years ago and to be honest, we haven't seen much evolution over this time. A bakery full of savory notes with sage also making an appearance... All on top of a velvety blanket of dark cherry... When we visited the tasting room at Rodney Strong, we tried several Davis Bynum bottlings and while each offers subtlety in different ways, this original one that we first tried many years ago is familiar and outstanding. We love it!
