Burgundy night. Started off with a nice champagne followed by a Cali roussanne to calibrate the palates.

Young, ripe red fruit. Dates wrapped in bay leaf. Good, yet a touch forgettable.

Could use more energy. Good balance though.

Makes the lamb kabobs I'm grilling taste better before I eat them.

Mineral nose. Cherry, acidic, spritely. Would go well with a steak. Sharp finish.

Clear filtered burgundy color. Nice subtle berry notes, flowering notes like Pinot Grigio, sugary plum, clove, anise, and a touch of peppery spice. Taste is quite dried, with peppery notes stand out. Fruit like plum and anise flavor also surface later. Bright avidity. .Salty earthy mineral taste is kind If intriguing. Aftertaste of bittersweet zest like grapefruit skin, short of complexity in my view.
