Dark inky in color with a very short reddish rim.
Strong nose with black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, cola, spices, herbs, earth and black pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black plums, earth, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, chocolates, cola, herbs, light vegetables, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from South africa. Nicely balanced and tangy. Rich and extracted.
Needed 3 hours of airtime to open properly, but good right out of the bottle too.
The tangy finish makes it interesting. Paired nicely with Brie goat cheese.
