Got this at Ocean State Job Lot, of all places (if you know, you know) for $12.99. Ridiculous. This is Zin that wants to be a Chianti Classico. Loads of pomegranate and assorted tangy red berries. Some nice spice and a wee bit of cracked stone. The palate is zingy and straightforward. Loads of red berry fruit. Medium bodied. Great cookout wine!

Bought at winery today. Needed an hour to open. Nose and palate very similar. Bramble of berries, cherry juice, a bunch of spices from baking to savory herbs, a bit of tree bark or some other wood but not oak. What a great producer of CA zin with different styles under 1 roof. Should drink more from them when in the mood for zin.

Light, juicy, and racy. Probably would have been a little better a couple of years ago, but by no means dead. Cherry, blackberry, earth, white pepper, and smoke. Medium low tannin, medium high acid, super food friendly. Super fun.
