Got this at Ocean State Job Lot, of all places (if you know, you know) for $12.99. Ridiculous. This is Zin that wants to be a Chianti Classico. Loads of pomegranate and assorted tangy red berries. Some nice spice and a wee bit of cracked stone. The palate is zingy and straightforward. Loads of red berry fruit. Medium bodied. Great cookout wine!

Bramble of berries, cherry juice, a bunch of spices from baking to savory herbs, a bit of tree bark or some other wood but not oak. What a great producer of CA zin with different styles under 1 roof. Should drink more from them when in the mood for zin.

May 22nd, 2021Light, juicy, and racy. Probably would have been a little better a couple of years ago, but by no means dead. Cherry, blackberry, earth, white pepper, and smoke. Medium low tannin, medium high acid, super food friendly. Super fun.
