Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

I like to imagine that, if there were Zin in France, it might turn out something like this.

Never thought you would find a Zin outside the jammy paradigm? Here's a sophisticate that doesn't take life too seriously but beguiles with depth and breadth. A champion among Zinfandels at this age (2011) from a 375ml format.

One in rage behind release, showing darker red/black fruit and spice. I hear 2011 was a short harvest, so more concentration. Yep, and acidity in spades.

Not bad, but nothing special. Much better DC zin at this price.

Young. Okay, but needs to age a bit to mature into something respectable.
