Very dark almost black or brown in color, fruit blackberry, musty, more acidic and spicy. I really didn’t enjoy it. The spice stick to the top of my mouth and I did not enjoy the finish.

V10. WoW! Big , bad wine! Unique campfire smoke nose. Rich, juicy blackberry fruit. Bold, dry, black pepper, mocha, and leather finish. Nicely balanced. Bring on a steak!

Classic McLaren Shiraz from old wines. Earthy, dark fruits, so long, you will need to wait 5 years at least.

This wine is clear and deep purple in colour.

On the nose it is clean of pronounced intensity. Aromas of dark fruit (plum, cherry & blackcurrent) as well a peppery spiciness along with vanilla, clove and a savouriness.

The palate is dry, with medium acid and alcohol. Medium but smooth tannin, medium (+) body and flavour intensity which presents the same flavours as in the nose. The finish is medium.

Although nothing stands out I think this is very well balanced and enjoyable.
