Really nice wood on the nose; stinky with moss, forest floor. Hint of dry fruit like Shiraz raisins. Pallet is exceptionally ripe raspberry with smooth finish and a hind of woody spice. Very affordable and elegant dinner wine.

Raspberry initially dominates on the palate but after decanting and a couple of hours the palate diminished with M minus tannins and intensity. Despite this I have always thought McLaren Vale better suited to Grenache than the Barossa.

Apr 18th, 2017Beauty Aussie shiraz. Blackberries, pepper, plum, bit of licorice. Tannins are still present and some oak. I'll have to try this one again. Went very well with Bohemian Rhapsody.
