Sultry, smoky, and with deep minerality. Mouthcoating and plush, together with the low acidity scream Walla Walla to me, even though this says Columbia Valley AVA. Not the most complex, but ticks a lot of boxes and is quite satisfying. Great value at $15 from Last Bottle.

I’m loving everything Darby produces. They tend to make a statement from their extra thick bottles to their very expressive wines. A dark and only slightly peppery Syrah. Good spice notes with smoky wood chip in a barbecue flavors. Just enough for the tannins to keep it well structured. Expressive flavor from the tip of your tongue to the back of your mouth. At this point I think I would try anything from them.
