Trying the ‘18 vintage. Just as dense and with grippy tannins as previous. Takes 90 minutes to decant and then starts shining. Beautiful layers of cassis. -46% Syrah, with the cab components rounding out the profile (37%). Edgy Petit Verdot (17%) provides a lot of structure. Not for the faint of heart. 😎

Apr 17th, 2022Having the 17 at Daou Mountain. Delicious! Grippy tannins from the Petit Verdot. Beautiful layers of fruit from the Syrah and cab with a long finish.

May 24th, 2017Some fruit on the nose, fruit on the pallet, tobacco on the finish. Disappointing given the price. But a better than red.
