I love this wine. Vegetal, green bell pepper, broken leaf, some red current. Tight structure, mineral.

Now this is more like it, yay for aging in botte! Dark fruit, herbal background. Nicely tannic.

Back home and trying something new with homemade chili. This was #74 on Spectator Top 100 of 2015. I think I picked it up for $10-12 on LB. mixed expectations and gave it a go PNP. A very green nose, even in the second hour open. Light in body with dark cherry, savory herb and dry, gripping tannins on the finish. It is different and pleasant to drink but won’t be in my top 100! 😂. Maybe some more time in the bottle will round it out. Have a few more to sit on.

Fun-ky! Very barnyardy on the nose, and present on the palate, too. Dark, tart fruit. Some tannins, but not as drying as Aglianico can get. Pretty good pairing with pizza.

Starts well, red fruits, good weight, nice followthru w a tinge of dry tea leaves, but then the tannins buck thru and ruin the party: brash and too much tang

BlackBerry, cherry aromas and the astrengency tanins show this wine young and have a great potential.
Very intresting to taste aglianico.
