Maybe some time will help the flavors to meld together. Right now without much air time, nose is closed, flavors are smoky bar-b-q with underripe blackberries, some red cheery, brambles, bit of bramble… almost no tannin medium finish

Perhaps this wine would be better described as a field blend rather than Delectable’s take as being a Zinfandel blend. But, hey...you have to start somewhere; particularly with 8+ varietals in the mix. Paired it up with Armenian chicken Shish Kebab and the usual suspects. Pretty damn perfect. (The wine really shows itself after 30/45 minutes in decanter.)
