Earthy right from the start. The subtle black currant fruit note gives way to coffee and then a mineral grit. The profile is complex, but a bit short lived.

While it was easy-drinking, it may have been *too* easy-drinking. The flavors were barely present and the mouthfeel was lackluster. Could be great for someone who says they hate reds!

On sale at Total Wine for $8.50. Very good at that price point. At its regular price point, it is just average. Not sure I understand or agree with the 91+ pts from WA.
