Darn. Not the most vibrant bottle. Bet others will show brighter intensity.

Dark cherry, leather, and plum flavors complemented by sweet oak aromas that linger well into a long finish. Structure is balanced and elegant, with a long smooth finish that belies its alcohol and tannin content. Good to drink straight out of the bottle, but flavors open up further after aerating. A big Wow. Excellent Rioja. Decanting adds to taste experience. 2008 was a great vintage year.

Not my style, not a meat eater. If memory serves, would be really nice with fatty meat.

Extremely well made offering plenty of sour red fruit still and needs more bottle age.

Didn't enjoy it as much as its sister wine - Vina Ardanza of the sane vintage. But that said it is balanced with a reasonably long and somewhat tannic finish. Good with Stilton!

Value. 2 year barrel + 3 year bottle...subtle tobacco, pedigree is there.
