Welcome to Friday and I am starting the weekend off with this 2015 Cune Rioja Rosado. This wine is 100% Tempranillo and as you can tell by the picture is a beautiful red color that tells us that the skins were left on for an extended period of time to give it a more richer red than most roses.
On the nose there are notes of red fruit, cherry, strawberry, red raspberry, watermelon, nice Floral notes and a minerality.
The palate shows us there is tart cherry, under ripe strawberry, red currant, rhubarb, and some peach.
The wine has a juicy full-bodied mouthfeel with a medium + acidity that helps with the refreshing overall feeling that is very enjoyable.

When tasting blind you may not think of Tempranillo, because it doesn't seem to have the tannin. But for a baby crianza, has great Fruit structure and balance!

Smooth and soft. Lovely legs. This is quite an easy to drink Rioja. I paired it with a Brazilian cut steak pan seared in butter and onion.
