Kite Tail is from the bluff top on the estate where the soils are well drained and the winds are high. Slowly harvested over 3 weeks and then fermented to full malolactic. It then spends 16 months in 50% new french oak. Definitely a bit on the richer side of the spectrum, but the freshness of the fruit and the cutting acidity make it a high quality example of cool weather cali chard.
